Lakewood Organic Pure Whole Leaf Aloe is a two-ingredient juice made from organic whole leaf aloe vera with organic lemon juice. It's made from the entire aloe leaf rather than the inner gel alone, with no added sugar, no preservatives, and no artificial ingredients, in a 32oz glass bottle.

What is whole leaf aloe juice?

Whole leaf aloe juice is made using the entire aloe leaf, including the outer rind, rather than only the clear gel inside. The juice is then filtered. Inner fillet aloe, by contrast, uses only the clear inner gel with the rind and latex layer removed. Both come from the same plant, and the difference is which part of the leaf goes into the bottle.

Which Lakewood aloe should you choose?

Lakewood makes three, all certified organic and all bottled in glass.

• Whole Leaf Aloe, this product, is made from the entire leaf and filtered. Two ingredients: organic whole leaf aloe vera and organic lemon juice.
• Inner Fillet Aloe is made from the clear inner gel only, at 99% aloe with 1% organic lemon juice. It is latex free and aloin free.
• Aloe Gel uses organic aloe with small amounts of xanthan gum and organic guar gum for a thicker, more gel-like body.

What does whole leaf aloe juice taste like?

Mild and clean, with a light vegetal character and a touch of brightness from the lemon. It isn't sweet, and it's far more neutral than most people expect. That mildness is why it mixes so easily into other drinks and works as a cooking ingredient.
